Qualifications

Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field, or another degree as approved by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
Minimum of two years of related, full-time equivalent experience, in addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards
State of Indiana licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist or license eligible
Valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City’s Driving Standards
Commitment to high-quality services
Ability to exert up to 10 lbs

We will consider applicants for practicum, internship or residency in Counseling or Psychology

Responsibilities

Provide individual, couples and family counseling, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention to a caseload of individuals with a wide range of mental health disorders
Work collaboratively with integrated team and other agencies and service providers
Provide an array of outpatient mental health services to promote individualized, person-centered, and recovery-oriented treatment plans
Coordinate linkage for additional services to other care providers
Maintain records for area of responsibility by departmental, state and federal regulations, laws, policies, and procedures; process daily paperwork, including client progress notes, insurance forms, daily timesheets, service logs, and billing reports
Complete required annual compliance training and participates actively and constructively in program and professional development
Read, comprehend, and adhere to the Corporate Compliance and HIPPA policies and procedures
Report any violations, inconsistencies, or discrepancies, about the Corporate Compliance policies and procedures or the HIPPA policies and procedures to the supervisor or appropriate authority
Manage caseload by utilizing integrated electronic records and billing services
Complete initial and annual assessments on individuals seeking clinical services
Develop and implements individualized treatment plans that are person centered, evidence based, and outcomes oriented
Complete appropriate clinical documentation and assure that assessments and correspondence to outside contacts are clinically appropriate and completed thoroughly and in a timely manner
Advocate on behalf of the individual, and their family, in relation to services needed
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings when needed
Perform other related duties as assigned.
